Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026 · Operated by Two Bit Digital (SMC-Private) Limited
These Terms govern your use of StarkVault (web, iOS, and Android), operated by Two Bit Digital (SMC-Private) Limited (“we,” “us,” “StarkVault”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use StarkVault.
1. What StarkVault is
StarkVault is a personal document vault and reminder tool: you upload documents, track their expiry dates, keep a record of payment cards (last 4 digits and expiry month/year only) and subscriptions, and create time-limited, revocable share links for individual documents. PDF share links can include a visible forensic watermark burned into the file server-side; other file types are shared without a watermark today. Expiry, card-expiry, and subscription-at-risk alerts are delivered by email and push notification based on thresholds you configure in Settings.
StarkVault is a record-keeping and reminder tool, not a substitute for the official renewal process of any document, license, or account it helps you track. You’re responsible for verifying expiry dates and completing renewals directly with the relevant issuer.
2. Accounts
- You must provide an accurate email address and are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- One account per person — don’t share credentials or let someone else use your account to access documents that aren’t theirs.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you don’t have the legal right to store or share (stolen documents, content that infringes someone else’s rights, malware, etc.).
- Use the Secure Share feature to distribute content you don’t have the right to distribute.
- Attempt to bypass, probe, or disrupt the security of the service, including RLS access controls, the share-link watermarking/revocation system, or rate limits.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could disable, overburden, or impair it for other users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
4. Your content
You own what you upload. We don’t claim ownership of your documents or data. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and display your content back to you — and, when you create a share link, to generate a watermarked copy and serve it to the recipient of that link until it expires or you revoke it.
You’re solely responsible for the accuracy of the expiry dates, card details, and other information you enter, and for who you choose to share a link with.
5. Pricing and subscriptions
StarkVault has a free plan and a paid Plus plan. Every feature works identically on both — Plus removes the free plan’s storage limits, it doesn’t unlock functionality that’s withheld on Free. Current limits and pricing are shown on our pricing page, which is the authoritative source for current numbers rather than any figure repeated elsewhere.
If you subscribe to Plus, you authorize us (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis, either monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & Billing, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Plus access until then, and we don’t prorate or refund the unused portion of a period you’ve already paid for.
- If you cancel or a payment fails and isn’t resolved, your account returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted: if you’re over the Free plan’s limits when that happens, your existing documents, cards, watches, and share links are all kept exactly as they are, you just can’t add more until you’re back under the limit or resubscribe.
- If we change Plus pricing, we’ll give existing subscribers at least 30 days’ notice before it applies to their account, and it will only take effect at your next renewal, never mid-period.
6. Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone, on web or in the mobile app. This immediately and irreversibly removes your documents, expiry watches, cards, subscriptions, share links, and notification data. See our account deletion page for details.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practical. If we discontinue StarkVault entirely, we’ll give reasonable advance notice so you can export or delete your data first.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep StarkVault reliably available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Scheduled alerts run on a daily cycle rather than in real time — don’t rely on StarkVault as the sole safeguard against a document, license, card, or subscription lapsing. Keep your own records of critical deadlines.
8. Disclaimers
StarkVault is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any alert will be delivered successfully in every case (email and push delivery both depend on third-party services outside our control).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Two Bit Digital (SMC-Private) Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of StarkVault — including a missed renewal, an expired document, a declined card, or a share-link failure — even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to StarkVault will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which, for users on the Free plan, is zero).
10. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of StarkVault will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting sales@twobitdigital.com; if that doesn’t resolve it, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use StarkVault after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
